Amino, a company undergoing expansion and internationalization, is reaping the rewards of a profound strategic transformation implemented by Consense, a consultancy specialized in governance and organizational structure. The work, which has been ongoing for the past three years, stands out for building a solid foundation for sustainable growth and professionalization.
According to Anderson Siqueira, partner and founder of Consense, “the main highlight of the initial diagnosis was understanding that Amino was in a growth phase, which required revisiting its governance structure to handle new challenges.” His statement summarizes the essence of the project: preparing the organization for the future with consistency, clarity, and flexibility.
Family Governance: The First Step of the Transformation
The project began with the creation of a family council, an initiative considered essential for expanding family businesses. “We started with the family council because it is the core of the company. It was a year to a year-and-a-half-long effort, working solely with the family partners to structure this decision-making space,” explained the consultant.
The family council began to act as a strategic body, responsible for discussing wealth management and family succession issues – a crucial aspect in Amino’s context.
Organizational Structure Aligned with Growth Strategy
As the project progressed, the focus shifted internally. A complete review of Amino’s organizational structure was conducted to ensure alignment with its new phase of growth and internationalization. “The structure we had worked until now. But we needed a structure that would support continued growth,” commented Anderson.
This stage included everything from redefining roles to creating new executive positions, such as the Marketing and Innovation department, created to support one of Amino’s core strategies. Reviews were made of roles, responsibilities, and decision-making policies – key points for more efficient and modern management.
Leadership in Focus: The Mentorship Program
One of the most recent highlights of this collaboration is the Leadership Mentorship Program, designed to align leadership knowledge and philosophy within Amino. The seven-month program aimed to develop essential competencies for the company’s new phase, such as:
- Innovation and flexibility;
- Scenario analysis;
- Self-awareness and emotional intelligence;
- Communication and feedback;
- People management and customer experience.
“The program was tailor-made, focused on aligning leadership thinking with the company’s strategy. Now we are reaping the benefits, but everyone has their own pace of learning and application,” Anderson emphasized.
A Future with More Balance and Flexibility
The work was conceived as a redesign of the company’s operating system: “It’s not a static project. We created a structure committee to monitor necessary changes, always aiming to keep the company aligned with its strategy and avoid bureaucratization.”
Looking ahead, the challenge is to consolidate everything that has been built. “I see a future with more balance, organization, and professionalism. Amino is on a solid path to face the challenges of expansion with confidence,” he concludes.
