Amino introduces AMICEL HRS 9200 performance additive to the mattress market, a new solution to provide conventional foams with HR characteristics, improving their resilience and deformation properties, adding greater value to the material, and enabling the use of foam in vacuum-packaged mattresses.
Developed by Amino’s technical team, AMICEL HRS 9200 enhances the quality of conventional foam, achieving standardized properties for HR foam, such as a minimum resilience of 55 units and a reduction in permanent deformation under 50% compression, while maintaining comfort factors to meet the standards of key national and international regulatory bodies, such as ABNT, INMETRO, and ASTM.
By improving the foam’s properties, AMICEL HRS 9200 aligns with one of the market’s main trends: vacuum packaging for mattresses, which offers companies greater logistical efficiency, increased convenience for end customers, and a significant reduction in transportation costs and carbon emissions.
In tests conducted in Amino’s laboratory, foams with the AMICEL HRS 9200 additive showed no significant loss in thickness or support, even after six months of being rolled and vacuum-packaged.
